Exactly what process was used to create the Nazca line, in what I believe is Peru?
Question by Lex: Exactly what process was used to create the Nazca line, in what I believe is Peru?
I have a report journal due on Thursday, and the topic is on “Symbols” of any kind, in which I’ve chosen “The giant markings” in Peru. I searched the web for answers and couldn’t quite find what I was looking for. Like, exactly how many of these symbols where created? Around what time where they created? What could be the beneficial reason for creating such symbols to what most people believe is for their Gods. Are there any myths behind this.
Any information or, websites (which would be most helpful if you could list) will be very helpful to me. Thanks.

If you look at the topography then there are high mountains that the builders stood on to look down at the lower plain and made small drawings in the sand on the high mountains that they extrapolated into the large depictions of their gods. All they did is move small stones out of the path they choose and made the depections by using geometry.

Scientists believe they have been made between 200 BCE and 700 CE. If we talk about purpose there are many theories some scientists say they were made because Nazca people wanted their gods to see these lines. Some say they worshiped mountains and water resources and made these lines for fertility of their corps.
In my opinion most marginal and interesting theory was Jim Woodman’s theory. He said only way to see these lines from air by their primitive possible technology was to use hot air balloons. And he said Nazca people were invented hot air balloon. Woodman made a hot air balloon by using possible Nazca techniques and materials to test his theory.
