How does Barueri, Brazil compare to Campinas, Brazil?
Question by barelyblue82: How does Barueri, Brazil compare to Campinas, Brazil?
I will be visiting one of these two cities in a couple of months and I am trying to decide which to visit. I know they are both in the state of Sao Paulo but I would like to know how the two places compare to eachother. Are they very similiar? Is one more rural than the other? Are the people in the two areas similar? Is one more expensive than the other, etc? Thanks!

Campinas it’s way much better.
Barueri it’s a satelite city of São Paulo city. Totally depended of São Paulo city.
Campinas it’s a city by it’s own, and doesn’t belongs to São Paulo Metro area.
The only interesting in Barueri it’s the “Alphaville Condominium” that have beautiful and expensive houses to live.

Barueri is more rural. Campinas developed in many ways, has two very competitive soccer teams, it’s close to Sao Paulo, if you want to come over and check it out, I believe is more expensive, but not so much, and you have more to see and do. Barueri is close to Alphaville, a nice place to stay, but nothing that tourists would like to see, in my opinion. But wherever you go, try the local food! Don’t forget! This is one of the best thing this country has to offer.
