Copacabana is the main Bolivian town in Lake Titicaca, since Bolivia doesn’t have ocean, here is where you’re going to see their main ships and yatch club. It’s located in a peninsula that almost separates this southern portion into another lake. Check the map:

To go to Tiawanaco you drive around the southern part of Lake Titicaca making a semicircle to the ruins it’s about the same distance wether you go around the Bolivian side (clockwise) or around the Peruvian side wich I wouldn’t recomend because you would have to cross the border twice just to get there.
The distance from Copacabana to Tiawanaco is 224 Km.
