How to get to Machu Pichu?
Question by Keninho: How to get to Machu Pichu?
Is there any way I can get to Machu Pichu without taking the train (from Perurail) or hiking? The train is all booked up.
I’ll also be leaving from Aguas Calientes to MP. How can I get from AG to MP without the train?
Thanks!

take the 3:10 to yuma, there you’ll meet a man in a poncho named clint, clints packin heat so dont mess around! then slip onto the underground railroad with harriet tubman and her band of slaves and gypsies and get off at the death valley station.
walk 40 miles in the desert with a horse with no name and you should arrive at machu pichu by sundown…
or you can just fly there

I believe there is a helicopter service to Aguas Calientes, but it is very expensive. The other possibility is to take a bus to Ollantaytambo and see if there are any open seats there. Unluckily the road from Cuzco down the sacred valley only goes as far as Ollantaytambo and not to Machu Picchu (they do this to limit the amount of people that enter the site), so its either walk, train or helicopter.

we took the train and got off at mile 84 and then trekked the rest of the way with a guide.
