Question by ellipse4: Do you know of a Machu Picchu guide?
Does anyone know which Machu Picchu guides, if any, are based in Aguas Calientes or close to Machu Picchu? The only guides I have found so far all seem to be based in Cusco.

Most tour operators are out of Cusco, but the actual guides are from Aguas Calientes. If you go to Machu Picchu you actually don’t need a guide unless you want everything explained to you. Just read everything you wanna know about Machu Picchu and then just go there to enjoy it. If you do it on your own make sure you purchase the entrance ticket in Aguas Calientes because you can not buy one directly at Machu Picchu.
