If you soak the seed in water for 24 hours and then plant it could ”pop” in less than a week. Once planted outside the ground in the immediate vicinity will have to be kept ”damp” until the plant matures.

How much water DO lima beans need to grow? Is your project on the proper use of the English language, I hope not?
The bean will need 1 cup of water, per day to grow properly, unless it rains a lot, then less. But if it’s a full moon, they don’t need water on those days. After the bean sprout starts to grow, if you use an eye dropper and drip one dropnto the sprout every 30 seconds for two weeks straight, then a bean stalk will grow out of it and you can climb up it to heaven and chill with jesus!
