Question by rocks: Parati, Brazil – Is this a good spot for a June honeymoon?
We are considering Brazil for part of our honeymoon in late June. Is Parati a good choice for beaches considering that this will be in the winter?

Average daily temperatures during June and July in Parati are usually in the upper 70′s.(not exactly cold) Personally.
I enjoy the beaches there more during the months when it is not so warm/hot and there are less people.Also,there are so many other things to do there besides the beaches if you were to catch a rainy or cool day.

If you like literature, on June there is an international literary event in Paraty (name is FLIP). Make sure you do your reservations soon, since it is a very good event. Just to show a few writers that have already been there in last events:
Salman Rushdie, Ian McEwan, Martin Amis, Margaret Atwood, Paul Auster, Anthony Bourdain, Jonathan Coe, Jeffrey Eugenides, David Grossman, Lidia Jorge, Pierre Michon, Rosa Montero, Michael Ondaatje, Orhan Pamuk, Colm Toíbín, Enrique Vila-Matas, Jeanette Winterson e Marcello Fois.
Paraty is in very nice bay, with lots of beautiful places to go. If you like scuba diving, you can schedule one with local tourist agencies.
Sailing is also an option and you can rent a boat or take a tour in a large sailing boat with lunch on board.
You can extend your trip to include Ilha Grande and Rio de Janeiro.
