Q&A: What amount of days would be enough to travel through Brazil?
Question by Danny: What amount of days would be enough to travel through Brazil?
I am planning on going to Brazil this summer. I have never been there, so the problem is that I don’t know how to distribute the time per each place I want to visit. For example, so far, I am planning to give 6 nights for Salvador, 4 nights for Belo Horizonte and Ouro Preto, 11 nights for Rio de Janeiro, 7 nights for Sao Paulo and 7 nights for Fortaleza and Jericoacoara beach.
In Salvador I want to meet the followers of Iemanja, the fishermen, participate in some rituals like throwing yellow roses in the ocean, etc.
In Belo Horizonte I don’t really want to do much, except for visiting Ouro Pretu and learning about Minas Gerais food, music and culture.
In Rio de Janeiro I wanna hit the Ipanema, meet a lot of people, hang out with possible new friends. Check out Corcovado, Sugar Loaf and possibly the Iguasu Falls.
In Sao Paulo, I wanna hit the night life, the parks, the churches, the downtown, etc.
In Fortaleza I wanna explore the beaches, the dunes, ride jeeps, boats, learn some surfing.
Please, if you’ve traveled through Brazil, or if you know a thing or two about first time traveling, share your knowledge!
Also, I am going to travel by myself, but I’ve connected with some people at couchsurfing.com
Thank you!

A MONTH! That’s if you’ve never ever been there before.
