Question by Mentor M: Which is the greater threat international terrorism or snakes?
International terrorism has an estimated death toll of 2,300 people world wide each year. Snake bite has an estimated death toll of 100,000 people world wide each year.

Admittedly something needs to be done about both problems but are we overlooking the snake menace? Snakes have already secured a stronghold in Ilha da Queimada Grande, an island off the coast of Brazil which has an estimated 1 venomous snake per a square meter and is considered such a hazard the Brazilian Navy has banned civilians from visiting “snake island“.

Should we be doing more to address the snake problem?
