What is the cheapest way to get to Porto Alegre, Brazil?
Question by Dolly Llama: What is the cheapest way to get to Porto Alegre, Brazil?
I want to go visit a friend that lives in Porto Alegre, Brazil. I live in Houston, United States. Every flight I search is 2,000 dollars or 1,000 and that is super expensive. I just want to fly economy with any airline that is under like $ 750 for the round trip ticket! If anyone can help I would be sooo thankful!
Thank you ahead of time!!

There’s no way to get to Brazil for $ 750. If you find some magical agency that has flights that low, let me know. It’s winter there now, and still the cheapest I could find was over $ 1000 after tax. It would have been twice that if I hadn’t booked in advance. I’ll tell you a fun fact, though: Delta is usually the cheapest, and you can check in 2 50lb bags, but if you can get someone to purchase the ticket in Brazil, you can check in 2 70lb bags. Neat, huh?

Here are some deals I found with Travelocity for flight on Sept 15 , return Sept 22 (dates choosen randomly).
Houston-Porto Alegre , 2 stop flight= $ 1045 with Delta
Miami -Porto Alegre, 2 stop flight = $ 646 with Copa & TAM
Miami -Porto Alegre, 1 stop flight = $ 980 with Aerolineas Argentinas
Finding online the cheapest flight for you is the job of flights brokers/ booking sites. The best ones are listed here: http://www.willgoto.com/1/023798/liens.aspx
