Question by gmac: What is the quickest / most prolific way to become fluent in Portugese?
I am in Salvador then Florianopolis until December. I don’t speak Portuguese but am excited to learn. Can anyone help me with a specific way to pick up the language, for example, the best place to find a tutor – any books I should use to supplement? Rosetta Stone any good?

Live. The only thing you have to do if you’re staying in Brazil is to try and have as much contact with the locals as possible. That’s the best, easiest and most fun way by far
